What is SolaRay®?
SolaRay® is a reflective sequin or paillette panel material used for advertising, architectural design, signage, retail and trade show displays and much more.
How does SolaRay® work?
SolaRay® sequin panels consist of small, highly-reflective sequins permanently mounted to a clear plastic frame with male and female clips on all sides for interlocking multiple panels and ensuring perfect spacing and alignment. The sequins move freely in a fluid motion with the lightest breeze, casting brilliant reflections of light in all directions, like a disco ball.
How large are SolaRay® sequin panels?
SolaRay® sequin panels measure 12 inches by 12 inches square or 30.5 cm by 30.5cm. Each panel is exactly one square foot.
Is SolaRay® available in one-foot strips?
Unfortunately, SolaRay® is no longer available in one-foot linear strips. However, each SolaRay panel can easily be cut apart into one-foot linear strips using tin-snips or wire cutters.
Where is SolaRay® made?
SolaRay® sequin signs are produced in Wyoming, United States. They are 100% made in the USA using domestically sourced materials.
Does SolaRay® come with mounting holes for fasteners?
Yes, each SolaRay® panel has ample mounting holes. Each SolaRay® panel has 1/8th inch diameter mounting holes located between each sequin or paillette.
What is the right way to install SolaRay® on large surfaces?
Although installation methods are numerous, we suggest installing SolaRay® with the mounting holes and sequins aligned vertically, to ensure all fasteners are hidden behind sequins.
I live in a colder climate. Will SolaRay® withstand freezing temperatures?
SolaRay’s unique design allows it to withstand years of ice and frost. SolaRay’s polycarbonate plastic frames are made using a UV stabilized flame and frost resistant plastic. SolaRay(R) sequin panels are made for permanent outdoor use. Providing beautiful effects in the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.
How does SolaRay® hold up to heavy winds?
SolaRay® is extremely strong and durable. When exposed to heavy winds, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, or typhoons, SolaRay® sequins will remain in place. The sequins’ mass is not great enough to cause them to separate unless the installation is impacted by flying debris. Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions like these, the substrate the SolaRay® panels are mounted to will give away far before the SolaRay® panels do.
What is the best location for my SolaRay® sign?
SolaRay® sequin signs are most effective when positioned to take the greatest advantage of the Sun. If possible, we suggest positioning your outdoor sign with as much easterly or westerly exposure as possible to take advantage of the morning or afternoon Sun.
What is your return policy?
Radiant Manufacturing charges a 20% restocking fee for returned SolaRay®. Please note we only accept solid, uncut, and undamaged SolaRay® sequin panels. All custom orders are final.
What are your order minimums?
We do not have order minimums. The smallest quantity of SolaRay® you can order is one panel or one square foot.
What are your production lead times?
Most stock color orders, up to 200 sqft, usually ship in 1 to 3 business days. For orders up to 1,500 sqft we typically require a 10 business day production lead-time. For larger orders or if you need to expedite production, please contact us to determine your exact lead time. Should the need arise, our production facility can run three production shifts to ensure we meet your delivery deadline.
Can I purchase loose, unmounted SolaRay® sequins for my project?
Absolutely! Loose, unmounted SolaRay® sequins can be purchased by the pound. Please contact us at sales@radiantmfg.com to inquire about ordering SolaRay® sequins by the pound.
We are located near the ocean. Will SolaRay® sequin panels withstand the salt spray?
Yes, SolaRay® is impervious to the oxidation and corrosion associated with salt spray from the salt water.
I am located overseas. Will you send me a sample packet free of charge?
Yes, we send SolaRay® sample packets worldwide. All domestic sample requests are sent via UPS Ground. For international sample requests, please allow up to 15 business days for delivery.
I would like to color-match SolaRay® sequins to our corporate colors. Can this be done?
Yes, please contact us at info@radiantmfg.com to discuss your project. Order minimums and additional lead times will apply.
I would like a different shaped sequin to use on our project, can I order different shapes?
Yes, custom sequin shapes are available. Please contact us at info@radiantmfg.com to discuss what you are looking for. Tooling charges and/or order minimums may apply.
